Sneak Peak..

So I went to Joanns for some of the fabric for your aprons and found some cute ones. I am thinking I will charge somewhere from $15-$20 for them. Tell me if you think that is reasonable!
-So are some of the fabrics you might be getting! I won't tell you whose aprons these are for so...
I better get working!!

Baby Bedazzlers

I have a feeling any ounce of craftiness I have in me is about to come to an end for a while, so I'll post my latest project even though I just posted.

This is baby jewelry I made for my friend's baby. The hardest part was making the dangles at the end of the extender. The components are Swarovski crystals and sterling silver, so to buy just the bracelet from an online company would run you anywhere from $40-$80. I won't tell you how much it cost me to make it (in case I ever make one for you- I don't want to look like a cheapskate), but let's just say not quite that much.

I tried to get Calvin to model the bracelet on his cute little wrist, but his foam pirate sword kept getting in the picture as he was trying to cut it off all the while yelling, "Blast you codfish. Get this thing off," or something like that.

For anyone...

If anyone wants me to make an apron for them (for free, unless you are insisting on paying, but don't feel like you have to:) I can. My only requests are that you tell me how you want it to look, colors, style, and how long you want it (inches)! I will try not to ruin them if you want one:)

Za Bebe's Room

I've almost finished Baby Sparkles' nursery, and it's about the girliest thing that's ever come out of me. So here were my projects:

  • Clean and re-paint the changing table (it was white before, but very old and chipped)

  • Cut out shelf liners for the changing table shelves

  • Make foamboard letters of Baby Sparkles' potential new name and cover them with wrapping paper leftover from our Enrichment meeting (it's not her name for sure yet, but hey, it's only three letters so it was easy). The idea is that I will tape them on the wall like B's letters.

  • Retouch the crib's paint

  • Haggle an awesome deal on the crib bedding set off of Ebay

  • Put 3M tabs on the wall to hang the flowers because I have an unnatural fear of putting holes in our walls.

  • Move the rug from B's room (now C and B's room, so the flowers were a bit much) into the nursery

  • Wash the upholstery on the glider. It's a new, brighter color now which I'm loving.

  • Outfit all my storage needs with baskets and bins from the Christmas Tree Shops. I'm not sure if this is just a Massachusetts store, but it's awesome. For example, the undercrib storage bin was less than $3.

One of the funniest things about this super-girly room is that P has made it his personal office when he works from home. Maybe he likes the peace, quiet, view from the window, and comfy chair, or maybe he just likes all the flowers. :)

Room, Apron, and another Ribbon board!!

sorry I couldn't get this pic all the way down with the others!

My mom and I decided to Deep spring clean my room and then of course I just had to decorate.

Then yesterday I thought it would be fun to make an apron so then about an hour later I made an apron in the time of 3 1/2 hours! with NO HELP

For my birthday my mom was going to try and re-cover my (3 time re-re-re- covered tac board) so that it would match my new room colors. So cute...

Here are some pics!
